DESCRIPTION:Join us in-person or virtually for this month's seminar.\n\nPresentation & Speakers:\n"From Knowledge Gaps to Action: How Pacific RISCC Bridges Science and Management for Pacific Island Resilience" with Dr. Elliott Parsons, Pacific Regional Invasive Species and Climate Change (Pacific RISCC) Management Network Specialist\n\nDescription:\nInvasive pampas grass flourishes in a Hawaiian landscape. Pacific Island communities face mounting challenges from the combined pressures of invasive species and climate change, which together threaten biodiversity, food systems, infrastructure, and public health. To address these interconnected issues, the Pacific Regional Invasive Species and Climate Change (Pacific RISCC) Management Network was launched in 2020 to connect scientists and managers, co-produce solutions, and translate research into action. Over the past five years, Pacific RISCC has grown into a multi-partner collaboration across Hawaiʻi and the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands, hosting webinars, producing research summaries, and facilitating workshops on invasive species in a changing climate. This talk will highlight key accomplishments, share outcomes from recent projects, and underscore the critical role that boundary-spanning organizations like Pacific RISCC play in building resilience across the Pacific Islands.\n\nRegister at bit.ly/SliceSept2025
