DESCRIPTION:The University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center is proud to host the 17th Annual Weinman Symposium, on January 21-23 in the Sullivan Conference Center. This year the Weinman Symposium focuses on cancer genetics and environmental carcinogenesis, with 27 presentations by experts hailing from across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Among the highlights: On January 23, there will be a 1-hour roundtable discussion with Gov. Josh Green about the future of cancer research in the midst of federal funding cuts. Symposium attendance is free, and students are welcome and encouraged to ask questions of symposium faculty.
