DESCRIPTION:Dr. Sachi Edwards is an international scholar and educator, and a lecturer in the departments of Sociology and Educational Foundations at UH Mānoa. Dr. Edwards will speak about her research related to the internationalization of higher education and some of the unique ways this global phenomenon manifests in Japan. Around the world, universities are attempting to “internationalize” and national governments are pursuing policies aimed at internationalizing their higher education sectors.
