Congratulations to Akiko Kahue-Burrows, who presented a poster session at the 2014 Hawai`i TESOL Conference! Her poster, “Effect of Explicit Pronunciation Instruction on Japanese Learners of English”, was an extension of a project she and Juno Lee developed and presented as part of SLS 460 (English Phonology). Several attendees at the conference stopped to find out more about this project, keeping Akiko very busy during the poster session.
Akiko also presented a paper on the same topic at the College of Languages, Linguistics & Literatures Graduate Student Conference. Here she is after presenting, relaxing with two other SLS students.
