William O’Grady

ogrady_photoProfessor, Department of Linguistics, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa

PhD, University of Chicago

My major interest within the field of second language studies involves the elaboration of an emergentist approach to language acquisition that relies on processing considerations to explain why and how language unfolds in the particular way that it does in the course of development.

Dr. O’Grady is available to serve as a committee member for doctoral dissertation committees, but he is not available to serve as the dissertation chair or main advisor of any PhD students.
