Credit-No Credit Option

All SLS 699s must be taken on a Cr/NC basis.

Languages taken to satisfy the Language Experience Requirement may be taken under the Cr/NC option. However, if a student wishes to use an upper level language course as an elective (see Electives for certain restrictions), that course must be taken for a letter grade.

Courses other than SLS 699 taken on a Cr/NC basis may NOT be applied towards the requirements of the master’s in SLS or the doctoral degree.

The Cr/NC option must be exercised at the time of registration.

Courses taken under the Cr/NC option are NOT computed in the student’s grade-point ratio.
