Angela Haeusler

Angela Haeusler is a PhD student and the lead teacher for academic writing in the English Language Institute. She received her M.A. in Linguistics/TESOL from the University of California, Davis, and holds an M.A. from the University of Munich in German Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. Angela’s research in the PhD program at UH focuses on issues of power and identity in (post-)colonial contexts with a particular interest in the multilingual situation of Hawai’i. Her current pedagogic projects are dedicated to action research and critical approaches to teaching English academic writing in the global contact zone.
