Hanbyul’s research interests have been in interlanguage pragmatics and social interactions, especially within classroom and tutorial discourse in EFL settings. Currently she is interested in implementing qualitative methodologies (i.e., conversation analysis) to various aspects of language program evaluation. She has taught in various contexts in Korea and the ELI program here at UH and also worked as a testing researcher for two years before joining the doctoral program. In her free time she likes to relax and enjoy the wonderful Hawaiian weather with her husband and friends.
