Advanced auditing course using research, critical thinking and communication skills applied to contemporary accounting and auditing.

Pre: 418.

A minimum of at least C- or better is required

  • Research case studies, such as:
    • Deloitte & Touche Trueblood Cases
    • KPMG Strategic Auditing Cases
    • Auditing case books
    • Cases in professional and educational journals
  • Fraud Detection (recognizing the symptom, the proactive approach)
  • Management & fiancial statement fraud
    • Revenue and inventory fraud
    • Asset, and inadequate disclosure fraud
    • Internal controls/Sarbanes Oxley
    • Professional Skepticism
