Dr. Aono has taught in the University of Hawaii system for 20 years in the Shidler College of Business and at University of Southern California for 5 years. Dr. Aono is a CPA and worked for Coopers and Lybrand as an auditor. She has published in the areas of Mathematical Statistics, Accounting, and Genetics Research. Currently her area of specialization is auditing in Japan. Dr. Aono has taught the following courses: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Cost Accounting, Intermediate and Advanced Financial Accounting, Governmental Accounting, and Advanced Auditing. Dr. Aono received her B.S. degree in Biostatistics from the University of California at Berkeley and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UCLA. She also has an MBA degree from the University of Hawaii.
