Dr. Jang-Hyun Kim (Assistant Professor) received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2007. His B.A. degree in Economics (1996) and M. A. degree in Communication (1998) are from Yonsei University, South Korea. In addition to his doctoral degree completed in Buffalo, Dr. Kim also took doctoral course work in Communication department at Yonsei University from 1998 to 2000.
His research interests encompass social influence, social/semantic/organizational network analysis, international and political communication, and conflict. He has conducted research on conflict, semantic network analysis of media texts, and conflict/communication structure of nations. His current projects include studies on deception and persuasion, communication structure of the United States Senate, and social perception of new technology analyzed by semantic network analysis.
He also worked as a Public Communication Officer for public sector in Korea from 2000 to 2003. His personal web page is http://jangkim.net.
