- Melanie received her M.D. from John A. Burns School of Medicine in 1998 from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. Melanie is now an Associate Professor at UH in the Department of Family Medicine. Additionally, she is currently a physician in private practice at Hilo Family Medicine and living in Hilo, HI [as of January 22, 2007].

- Randy received his M.A. (1977) and Ph.D. (1980) in Speech Communication from the University of Washington. Currently, he is Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the Univestiy of Hawaii at Hilo. Randy has received the following awards in the field: Burlington Northern Faculty Achievement Award, Visiting Van Zelst Professor, Northwestern University; Van Zelst Distinguished Lecturer, Northwestern University; Thomas M. - Darrel is presently a Management Analyst / Staff Weather Officer for the Social Security Administration in Richmond, CA. In 2004, he received his M.A. in International Communication from American University (Washington, DC). Additionally, Darrel has been a member of the Hawaii Air National Guard Wheeler Army Airfield, HI. Darrel has also received a number of awards: Dean's Scholarship at American University, Commissioned Officer, Feb 2004, Presidential Management Fellow, May 2004. Last, Darrel continues to be involved in Speech; He is the Charter VP of Speech Comm Society and is on the Editorial Review Board for Intercultural Management Quarterly Journal. - Ted is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California at Chico. He completed his Ph.D. in Psychology in 1995 at the Unviersity of Hawai‘i. He has accumulated a number of awards and honors: He was named a "Founding Fellow" at the International Academy for Intercultural Research's inaugural meeting at California State University, Fullerton in1998; He received an Academic Research Enhancement Award ($131,000 over three years) from the National Institute on Aging in 2001 for the study titled, "Self, Health and Life Satisfaction among Mexican Americans." The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Funded this award. Additionally, Ted was the Treasurer for International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (August, 1996 - August 2001). Ted currently resides in Chico, CA. [as of April 22, 2002].

- Linda works as a Housing Program Assistant for the YWCA in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. In 1995 she taught interpersonal communication and job communication skills at Spokane Community College in Washington. Linda also received her B.A. degree in Speech from the University of Hawai‘i-Manoa, and makes her home in Honolulu, HI. [as of 1997].
- After receiving her M.A. in the Department of Speech, Vincenne continued with her academic career and graduated from University of Washington with a Ph.D. in Speech Communication retired from the University of Pittsburgh at the end of the 2000-2001 academic year. Since graduating from UH, Dr. Waxwood also served on the faculty of Hawai‘i Pacific College, Seattle University, Loras College in Iowa, University of Guam, and the University of Maryland Overseas Program. She has focused her efforts on helping others through selected adaptation of their communication, and has conducted workshops in Listening. in Intercultural Communication, in Family Communication, and Business Communication. - Elijah received his J.D. (1999) from the William S. Richardson School of Law at UHM. He is currently an associate in the litigation department at Cades Schutte, one of Honolulu's largest law firms. Prior to entering into private practice, he was a law clerk for Chief Judge Emeritus Judge Samuel P. King of the United States District Court for the District of Hawai‘i. Elijah has taught appellate advocacy as an adjunct professor at the William S. Richardson School of Law, and served as Alumni Coach to the law school's Environmental Law Moot Court Team.
