Do I need to be a speech major in order to join SCS?
No, you just need an interest in speech and communication.
Do I need to take any Speech classes?
You need to take two speech classes to be a member; however, you can take these while you participate in club activities.
What are the requirements to be an active member?
You must attend 2 general meetings, 2 events, and 1 fundraiser per semester.
What are the club dues?
$20.00 for one semester or $30.00 for a one year membership.
What are the benefits of being a SCS member?
You get to know the faculty; it's fun; there are learning opportunities and social events; you can make friends; it looks good on your resume; you help the community by participating in service events; it is good for graduate school, academics, and your future career.
