  This local database is a good starting place to look for local service providers and support groups.

• Health Reference Center, one of the IAC Magazine Indexes, available through the online database of the Hawaii

State Library System.  Some full text articles from reference books, as well as journal articles, are available through
this service.  You can search this database at any public library or you may telnet to the library system via telnet://205.149.115.147  or via the hawaii fyi system telnet//:fyi.icsd.hawaii.gov/  Note that their busiest time is the
afternoon. If you cannot make a connection, try again later.

A new consumer health information site from the National Library of Medicine.  It includes links
to databases, dictionaries, federal agencies and other associations.  You will need to use libraries such as Hamilton
Library and Hawaii Medical Library to actually find the journal articles although some full text of other resources are
available.

dictionary as well as information by diseases.  A unique feature of this site is information about procedures and tests
and the interpretation of test results.

health and wellness.
