Instructions for Searching the Health Reference Center, IAC Magazine Index, Hawaii Public Library System  

• When prompted type island from which you are searching    e.g. oahu
• Accept default terminal type
• You are then prompted to quit or to get help--type q for quit (note that this is counter-intuitive.
• You will then see the title page for the Directory of Online Resources
• Type number for IAC Magazine Indexes--13
• Choose Health Reference Center

        Follow the instructions given on the screen.  Remember you are in a telnet environment and
        cannot use your mouse.
        Note that you if the citation says "text available," the full text of the article is available.  The print function
            does not always work--you can always send a copy of the article to your e-mail address. To do this, type p
            to "print."  You will be given a choice of sending yourself a copy of the article via e-mail.  Follow the instructions
            on the screen.
• Be sure to follow the instructions and logoff completely from the system.
