Community Connections is a comprehensive K-12 program that will revolutionize the way science is understood, taught, and applied. Through this program, students will investigate outside, work with experts to develop effective solutions to community environmental problems.

 Using exploration and inquiry-based methods, the program incorporates experiment labs, observational science, field studies, data acquisition and analysis, and textbook learning into an integrated scientific learning experience. It turns abstract theories into concrete data and eventually, real-world application. There is no limit to the creativity and imagination of Hawaii’s youth; we believe students have the potential to be an important part of developing solutions and expanding on opportunities.
