The Hawaii Coral Reef Initiative

The Hawaii Coral Reef Initiative (HCRI) has gotten more involved in participating in (or, organizing) community events. These efforts are consistent with the US Coral Reef Task Force’s Coral Reef Education and Outreach Strategic Plan and the report from the Water and Air Quality Working Group. They encourage local and regional coral reef education and outreach programs. Here is a selected list of recent efforts:
