Geneva Costales

Aloha! My name is Geneva and I am currently a senior studying Human Development and Family Studies (formerly known as Family Resources) within the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. Later, I plan to pursue a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus in school counseling at another institution. As a Mānoa Peer Advisor (MPA), I want to help students on their academic journey by connecting them to important campus or community resources and ensuring that they are meeting all of their academic requirements. As a transfer student from Kapiʻolani Community College, I know how overwhelming and/or scary it may feel to be at new campus. As an MPA, I will do my best to make sure that your transition from high school or another college to UH Mānoa (UHM) will be as smooth as possible.

I look forward to assisting you with any questions you may encounter as a student at UHM. Hope to see you soon!

Jenny Gao

Hello! My name is Jenny Gao and I am absolutely thrilled to be one of the Mānoa Peer Advisors (MPA) for the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work (MBTSSW). I am currently a senior in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program and I intend on furthering my education by pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in health or behavioral mental health. I was fortunate enough to have experienced a smooth transition from Honolulu Community College into UH Mānoa and I will do my best to do the same for incoming students by referring students to the plentiful resources available on campus and assisting as best as I can with any academic planning, questions, or concerns you may have. As an MPA and an aspiring social worker, I am excited to work together with you in order to guide you towards academic success throughout your UH Mānoa journey!

Please feel free to schedule an appointment with an MPA using the contact information above. I look forward to meeting you!
