Education/Research/Interest
Ho'okano resides in Hilo and works as a Parole Officer IV with Hawaii Paroling Authority Hilo Section. Ho'okano has a wealth of experience in corrections and working with Native Hawaiians and SMI population. She has worked for various Mental Health Programs like Hale Na'au Pono, the Pulama Project (as a Practicum Student) and Kaneohe State Hospital. Ho'okano has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
