(1) men + women + children = 100
or

(2) bushels_to_men + bushels_to_women + bushels_to_children = 100

Either of these will, of course, do the job of starting the solution. It is a matter of preference which is used. We will start using the first because to takes less writing. All we want to do is get underway and the first one does this quickly and easily. The solution using the second one is outlined below.
