problem solving using suremath
What is asked for frequently follows a call to action word.
Words commonly present are what, when, find, how, where and show.

In reading a problem statement simply skip over the words following constraining words such as if, assume, given and the like. You are after what is asked for. Ignore the various, sometimes confusing, given material, the constraints. The solution will ask for these one at a time as the solution is developed. You will then know which of the givens to use at appropriate points in the solution.

Quite simply equations talk. They request information as needed. You need only to supply the information the equations request when they make the request. After all, responding to a request is the courteous thing to do.
