Problem solving using mathematics

STEP 1: Identify the request. What does the problem ask for? STEP 2: Respond to the request. Ask " How Would I Find Out ? " STEP 3: Generate the result. Ask " What does the result tell me? "

The basic simplicity of the problem can be seen by just showing the essentials as done in the following diagram. The secret to solving the problem is to develop the willingness to do it a step at a time. If one tries to write it all in one big equation confusion results.
