Look for words such as how, what, find and where to identify what is asked for. What is asked for frequently is terminated with a question mark.

The problem statement is a source of information. Simply scan the problem statement looking for what you need. Don't read the problem in detail. In this problem when you hit the word How you know you have found what is requested.
