Description :
TALENT 101 is a prerequisite for TALENT 102. This online course introduces faculty and staff to the world of online teaching and learning. TALENT 101 was specifically designed to provide the experience of being an online learner in preparation for teaching an enhanced (some Internet component alongside face-to-face contact) or total web-based course (completely online with no face-to-face contact with students).
The course specifically provides a student-view of Laulima (the University's online course management system) which can be applied to pedagogical and methodological issues related to developing and designing one's own online course.

To register for TALENT Summer series, please email Matt Parcon at parcon@hawaii.edu, indicating your campus and which session(s) you would like to attend. If you plan to attend more than one TALENT series, please send one e-mail indicating your interest in all TALENT series you wish to attend. Deadline to register is June 5.
TALENT101 is required if you plan on attending TALENT102.
