| DESCRIPTION: | McAfee released cumulative patch 4 for VirusScan Enterprise 8.5 which fixes the problem of high CPU utilization during an
autoupdate session. See the complete list of resolved issues in document ID 613984 (Patch 4 release notes) available in the
McAfee knowledgebase https://knowledge.mcafee.com If you have any of these problems with VSE 8.5, please download and install patch 4 (filename VSE85iP4.zip) from http://www.hawaii.edu/software You will need your UH username and password to get the patch. Installation instructions: 1. Extract contents from VSE85iP4.zip to a temporary folder. 2. Double click on setup.exe in the temporary folder. 3. Follow instructions for the install wizard. 4. You must REBOOT after the patch is installed to load the system drivers into memory. The patch wizard doesn't force a reboot. For Windows Vista, the on-access scanner can't be disabled via McAfee vshield icon in system tray or in VirusScan Console after patch 4 is installed, unless you're logged in with an administrator account.
