| DESCRIPTION: | After serving the UH community for over 12 years, the UH central modem pool at 440-0002 will be retired on September 30, 2008.
Over the past year, repeated component failures have made it clear that we can no longer properly maintain this equipment.
Diminishing usage of modems, coupled with the State's economic condition and recently-announced budget restrictions, make
it infeasible to replace this capability. We understand that the shutdown will inconvenience some members of the UH community. To assist with the transition, a short list of Internet Service Providers on Oahu is provided below.
