Adobe released its quarterly security update (APSB09-15) on Patch Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, which fixes 29 vulnerabilities in Adobe Reader and Acrobat. These critical vulnerabilities could cause the application to crash and could allow an attacker to take remote control of a vulnerable machine. Please update your Adobe products to the recommended versions, at your earliest convenience.

It's recommended that you download and save the update file, using the link provided in the security bulletin, instead of using the "check for updates" mechanism. System restart is required after Adobe Acrobat is updated.
