McAfee anti-virus software is available for download for Windows 8 computers at http://www.hawaii.edu/askus/1247
Active UH faculty, staff and students should download VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.8 with Patch 3 Repost. Note: VSE 8.8 with Patch 3 Repost is ONLY for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 users should continue to use VSE 8.8 with Patch 1 and install Patch 2 over it. Active UH affiliates should download McAfee AntiVirus Plus (MAVP) v11.6. McAfee will end support for the previous version (which is not compatible with Windows 8) on Feb. 14, 2013.
