A server maintenance has been scheduled for Aug 8th,Thursday 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm to apply fixes and updates to the Exchange servers. One of the fix is to correct a recently discovered bug in Exchange that may have increased the amount of spam being received.
Email will continue to flow during this maintenance period. However, as the servers reboot you may experience interruptions depending on the way you are connected to Exchange.
- For desktop client users (Outlook, MacMail, Outlook for Mac and Entourage)
If you are connected during the maintenance period, your client may report a disconnect but should automatically attempt to restore the connection. If that does not happen, close the client, wait a few minutes and reopen your client.
- For users who are connected to owa.hawaii.edu on the web.
You will be logged out when the server reboot. If that happens, wait a few minutes and retry your login.
- For users who are on a smart device (smart phone or tablet)
You should not see any errors.
