CHANGING PASSWORD
You can change your password as often as you wish, provided you don't repeat any of your five most recent passwords. As an added security the system tracks your last five passwords.

2. Press 84 and follow voice prompt instructions.

RECORDING PERSONAL GREETING
The generic voice mail greeting for a no answer is,
"The person at extension 6XXXX is not available to take your call. Please leave a
message after the tone." If you prefer, you may record your own personal greetings.
1. Log On
2. Press 82 and follow voice prompt instructions.
**Note: If you record an external greeting only, the external greeting will be played for both on-network and off-network callers. If you record an internal greeting only, the external greeting will be the generic one.

CREATING/SENDING A MESSAGE
Instead of calling someone you can use this feature to create a message and then send it to one or more voice
mail box users. See Distribution Lists for creating lists of frequently used mailbox numbers.

FORWARDING A MESSAGE
If you receive a message that you want someone else to hear, you can forward the message with or without an
introduction to the person you are forwarding the message to.
1. Log On
2. After hearing message, press 73 and follow voice prompt instructions.
**Note: Whenever you forward a message, the original date and time of that
message is not forwarded; the date and time heard will be when the message was forwarded. You can include the original date and time in your introduction to the forwarded message.

PERSONAL VERIFICATION
This feature will allow you to record your name in place of your mailbox number. The recipient of your message will
hear,
"Message from," followed by your recording instead of the standard,
"Message from
extension 6XXXX."

REPLYING TO A MESSAGE
When another voice mail user leaves or sends you a message, you can reply to the sender by leaving a message directly in their mailbox without having to call back. If the message was sent to you and to other people, you can reply to them as well as to the originator.
1. Log On
2. After hearing message, press 71 to reply to sender only or press 74 to reply to
sender and all recipients.
**Note: If after listening to a message and you want to speak
immediately with the person who left the message, use the Call Sender feature to automatically dial the on-network
number that called you. After hearing the message, press 9. You can return to your voice mail by pressing the link
button on certain Unity phones; Meridian phones have a visual indicator that your call is on hold. Depress the key
(flashing) to take the call off hold.

EXPRESS MESSAGING
You can send a message to one voice mailbox without having to log on to voice mail or call the station.
1. Dial 65649 (or 956-5649 from off-network).
2. Enter the mailbox number of the person for whom you want to leave a message, followed by #.
3. Leave your message after the record tone.

TAGGING A MESSAGE
When you create messages, you can tag them:
Acknowledge to notify you that the recipient has received your message.
Private so that the recipient cannot forward it.
Timed delivery for the date and time you specify.
Urgent to announce an urgent message.
1. Log on.
2. After creating a message, press 70 and
Press 1 for Urgent delivery
Press 4 for Private
Press 5 for Acknowlegement

DISTRIBUTION LISTS
A distribution list is a list of frequently used mailbox numbers. You can create up to nine lists, each
containing a maximum of 99 entries.
1. Log On
2. After hearing message, press 85 and follow voice prompt instructions.
Note: Distribution lists can be used in place of mailbox numbers when creating messages.
