Courses designated as "equivalent" have been judged to have highly similar content such that two campuses treat the classes as essentially the same class. However a designation of equivalency does not mean the two courses will satisfy the same requirements at different campuses. For instance, two courses may be designated as equivalent but only one of those courses has also been approved to be a Writing Intensive course with an additional instructional focus on writing.

In addition to the basic course transfer rules, this site also displays information about certain General Education "attributes" of courses. It may be that a given course taken at one campus will count toward another the General Education requirements of another campus. Such attributes will be listed in the rightmost column in the display below. However, it is quite possible for this information to be misleading or incorrect. Your best bet, as always, is to confirm any information obtained on this site with a counsellor.
