Presenters are strongly encouraged to provide handouts to
help attendees better understand and remember their talks and slides. The
planning committee understands that there is a cost associated with copying
handouts and appreciates this contribution to the success of the conference.
Most handouts provide copies of Powerpoint slides or other screen images presented during a talk so that the audience can follow along. If this describes your handout, please provide space for taking notes. When including screen shots or Powerpoint slide images, be sure they are large enough to be read easily. Two Powerpoint slides per page is often best. Insure that screen shots are as up-to-date as possible. Include on your handout: "ELUNA 2008 Conference", title of your presentation, your name, institutional affiliation, and contact information, version number and name of software discussed, and date of preparation. Provide a sufficient number of handouts for all attendees at the session. Your track chair/co-chair will let you know the number of copies needed about three weeks before the conference. Handouts can be mailed to your hotel, usually to arrive within one week of your check-in date. Contact your hotel for information. There will be a business center in at least one of the conference hotels for last minute photocopying (at hotel prices). |
If you have any questions, please contact your Track Coordinator.
