How to Do a Screen Capture in Windows

1. To do a screen capture in Windows use the following key combinations:

ALT and PRINT SCREEN (To copy the active window)

or

PRINT SCREEN (To copy the entire screen)

After you have done this, start up or switch to Microsoft Word (or your favorite word processor or image editing application) and paste the copied screen capture into your document. From here you can either save the screen capture or print it out.

Information provided by Fred Allen, Systems, UH Manoa Library

2. There is also a very nice FREE application called PrintKey that does a screen print very easily, just one key click. You can download it from www.cnet.com. Just do a search on the word PrintKey in the downloads section.

Reporter Module and Microsoft Access

To all who have installed (or will install) the Voyager version 99.1 client software:

If you install the Reporter module - the first time you run that module you must provide a hard drive (or perhaps network server?) location for the MS Access program. If you do NOT have MS Access loaded/available to the PC where you are trying to run the Reporter client software - it won't start up. There's nothing wrong with the voyager client, that is apparently a feature of how that particular Reporter module works. Therefore, if you will be using Reporter and don't already have MS Access - now is probably the time to buy/request/acquire it.
