Presenters are strongly encouraged to provide handouts to help attendees better understand and remember their talk and slides. Session attendees have consistently rated a lack of handouts as a severe fault in a presentation. The program planning committee appreciates the time it takes a presenter to prepare her/his presentation and handouts and trusts that the partially subsidized presenter's registration fee is appropriate compensation. Copies of your handout will be made for you free of charge if you submit a handout file by the deadline (sometime in March 2007); or you may bring your own copies. Your handouts should be appropriate to your presentation, as up-to-date with your finished presentation as you can manage, and there should be room for notes. When including slide images, be sure the images are large enough to be read easily. Handouts submitted for free duplication are limited to 6 double-sided pages (12 pages total). In almost all cases handouts will be duplicated in black and white. Requests for color duplication can be made to your track coordinator. Color copying will be available only in those rare cases where the readability of a chart or graphic absolutely requires it. If you have additional materials for handouts, please bring those copies yourself, at your own expense. There will be a business center in the hotel for last minute photocopying (at hotel prices). Information on how to submit your handout file(s) will be provided early in 2007. |
If you have any questions, contact the appropriate Track Coordinator.
