Introduction

A wide variety of poster sessions are sought, covering topics of all kinds relating to Endeavor's products and services and their use in libraries and other organizations.

Guidelines

Each poster presenter will be provided with one easel and one poster board. The board will be approximately 30"x40" in size.

Each poster presenter will have one table, approximately 30"x60" in size.

Scissors, clear plastic tape, push pins, and staplers will be available on-site.

Internet connections will not be available.

Electrical connections may be available (pending inspection of the hotel facilities).

Poster presenters are expected be in attendance in the poster area during two one-hour sessions. During these sessions presenters will give mini-presentations about their posters as people gather around their tables.

Set-up & Take-down

Setup can take place as early as 3:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, but must be completed before 5:00 pm on Thursday. (times pending final schedule)

Poster Presenters are asked to be in attendance in the poster area during each of these two periods: 5:30-6:45pm on Thursday, April 26 and 5:15-6:15pm on Friday, April 27. (times pending final schedule)

Posters must be removed no later than 3:15pm on Saturday, April 28.

Handouts

Poster presenters are encouraged to provide brief handouts for their posters which, at a minimum, include the presenter's full contact information, the title and description/abstract of the poster, and information about where additional materials can be viewed or retrieved (e.g. SupportWeb after the conference, a web address at an institution, from the presenter by mail, etc.).

A one-page single- or double-sided handout as described above will be duplicated by Endeavor (200 copies). Presenters should plan to provide any additional materials on their own; please bring 150-200 copies of these, and a generous supply of business cards for when the handouts run out!

See Handout Copying Options [link] for more information and deadlines.

How to Submit Your Presentation Proposal

Complete the Proposal Submission Form by January 31, 2007.

Poster proposal acceptance notification can be expected by February 28, 2006.

Criteria for Acceptance of Proposals

Your poster session proposal will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Clarity and focus of the proposal
• Value to Endeavor product users
• Unique or special content; originality
• Speaker qualifications
• Contribution to a well-rounded EndUser program

Note: If the Program Planning Committee receives a large number of poster proposals, this may result in good proposals not being accepted due to the limited number of session slots available. Such presenters are encouraged to investigate regional meetings or to submit again the following year.
