Coordinator: 6. General - including Analyzer and Extension Products The General Track is designed to accommodate those who wish to present sessions that don't fall naturally into the other, more specific tracks or span two or more tracks. Representative sessions from previous EndUser meetings include "Beta: It Doesn't Have To Be Greek to You," "Creating Online Tutorials Using Viewlet Builder," and "Handheld Access to Voyager." The General Track also includes presentations on Endeavor "extension products" not covered by other tracks, such as: ARS, ILL, and ImageServer. Participants are encouraged to share how these products serve their patrons and how they were implemented, configured, and staffed. Sessions range from beginner to advanced and can relate to libraries of any type or size.
Coordinator: 7. Small Libraries Presentations related to small library operations (less than 100,000 volumes). EndUser presentations are often geared to larger institutions with dedicated staff and IT departments. Smaller libraries often have staff wearing multiple hats without the background or experience to accomplish difficult tasks or functions. The Small Library Track covers all Endeavor products and services -- from a small library perspective. Sessions range from beginner to advanced.
Coordinators: 8. Strategic Planning Presentations related to long-range planning in all types of libraries. The goal of this track is to engage senior administrators, project or team leaders/managers, and those involved in strategic planning in discourse with their colleagues and with Endeavor staff. Keeping the intended audience in mind, the sessions in this track might address new services and functions being planned, library initiatives in support of college and university goals, budgeting, staffing and staff development, courseware applications, distance learning, electronic resources, institutional repositories, preservation of digital objects, migration issues, planning for add-on products, and similar broad-based and future-oriented topics. Sessions can relate to libraries of any type or size.
Coordinator: 9. Sessions range from beginner to advanced and can relate to libraries of any type or size.
Coordinators: 10. WebVoyage & Public Services Presentations related to how staff have implemented WebVoyage and Citation Server in their libraries. Sessions on special programs written to enhance WebVoyage are always interesting, such as a new books list and linking to library floor plans. Discussions of configuration decisions are helpful as are sessions on indexing, service forms, local databases created using Citation Server, gathering use statistics, multilingual implementations, and display enhancements such as book jackets and links to book reviews. Sessions range from beginner to advanced and can relate to libraries of any type or size.
Coordinators: Ex Libris Products & Services The Ex Libris Products & Services Track consists of sessions given by Ex Libris staff and is not open to other presenters.
