RESOLUTION

Committee on Academic Policy and Planning
Pertaining to the change of name from Ed.D. to Ph.D. for the College of Education
Graduate Degree

WHEREAS the Graduate degree program at the College of Education satisfies the requirements for a Ph.D. program as specified by the Manoa Graduate Council and,

WHEREAS the graduate students at the College of Education are pursuing a research degree equivalent to a Ph.D. and,

WHEREAS such a name change would be advantageous for our students in the national scene,

be it therefore RESOLVED THAT the Manoa Faculty Senate approve this name change.
