Communicate with the Senate
WHEREAS the School of Public Health makes an important contribution to the continued health and welfare of people in the state of Hawaii and the Pacific region, and
WHEREAS in recent years the School has experienced difficulties associated with budgetary reductions, and
WHEREAS these difficulties are now jeopardizing the School's accreditation, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Manoa Faculty Senate supports the efforts of the School of Public Health to maintain its accreditation, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the University of Hawai'i Administration, in collaboration with the faculty of the School of Public Health, work strenuously to explore all possible means of maintaining the School as a resource for the people and State of Hawai'i.
