Communicate with the Senate

A Resolution from the Manoa Faculty Senate Regarding the Proposed Merger of the School of Travel Industry Management And the College of Business Administration

Whereas the benefits of the merger to the university's academic programs are not clear, and

Whereas the cost savings from the merger are not clear, and

Whereas the faculty of the School of Travel Industry Management have voted against the merger, and

Whereas sixty students from TIM have petitioned against the merger, and

Whereas the faculty in the College of Business Administration have voted assent to the merger conditional on its approval by the faculty of TIM, therefore be it

Resolved that the Manoa Faculty Senate does not endorse the proposed reorganization of these units.
