Communicate with the Senate
Whereas the transfer of the stadium to the University is being considered
Whereas a complete analysis of the costs of operation, costs of management, size of bond payments, cost of upkeep and the costs associated with existing contracts is not available at present
Whereas a comparison of recent revenues and expenditures is not available at present
Whereas the University has not had a record of keeping up the facilities it has
Whereas sports and entertainment revenues generated by the stadium could.be volatile
Whereas the costs of operation of the stadium could be a drain on monies used for academic facilities and the University budget in general
Be it resolved that: there be an open and public discussion of the financial merits of this transfer involving the Faculty Senate, University counsel and administrators before an action is taken.
