University of Hawaii at Manoa Faculty Senate, October 16, 1996

The Senate convened at 3:59 PM in order to amend the minutes of September 18 so as to read, on page three, as follows:

"The President was asked about a new policy invoked by Peter Garrod, that denies per diem pay on travel days for faculty engaged in research travel. In light of a recent much-publicized decision to increase the per diem allowances for the football team, a justification of the decrease in per diem allowance for faculty was requested."

Motion to approve the amended minutes and second. Motion passed.

The Senate adjourned in the absence of a quorum at 4:01 PM
