Year End Report

1. Three (3) Resolutions were presented to the Manoa Faculty Senate for consideration:
   1. Resolution on changes to commencement exercises without faculty consultation: Passed
   2. Resolution on the use of faculty endorsement without faculty approval: Passed
   3. Resolution on safety and security of UHM offices and other work spaces: Passed
2. CPM identified concerns, issues and opportunities in the context of the Strategic Plan Implementation for consideration that include the following:
   • Program Review
   • Budget Transparency
   • Supplemental Budget
   • Research: High standards for retention, merit pay, and post-tenure review
   • Entrepreneurial Education (task force)
   • Distance Education: Intellectual Properties; Work Load; Facilities; and Support (especially technology)
   • Faculty Assessment
   • Student Assessment
   • Faculty Development
   • Clarify entrepreneurial thrust vis-à-vis academic processes
