Senate Vice Chairman Tom Hilgers convened the SEC at 1:30 p.m. Six members attended, with Chairman Schroeder out of town. Around 2 p.m. the SEC met with VCA Smatresk about numerous issues (articulation, UARC, code of conduct).
1.The minutes for March 14 were approved with amendments.
2.Bley-Vroman described a possible request for members of a Chancellor's task force about managing facilities.
3.It was decided to refer the tuition proposal to all standing committees via the liaison for each, in case any of them had concerns about it. It can be found at http://www.hawaii.edu/ovppp/tuition/
4.CAPP is working on an ethnobotany proposal.
5.CPM is preparing a report about the emeritus status.
6.COA is working with the new FAR representative.
7.CSA might meet next week.
8.COR may meet 2 weeks from Wednesday.
9.CFS is concerned about some communication from CAPP about appointments to Gen Ed Boards. The SEC had not seen the communication.
10.CAB is meeting next Friday and will meet with Acting VC Cutshaw about a facilities audit.
