The newly-formed SEC held an organizational meeting. The 2005-2006 SEC will meet together with the 2006-2007 SEC during the summer, with the new SEC taking over on June 1, 2006, as prescribed in the Senate Charter and Bylaws.
Officers were elected:

Vice chair: David Chin
SEC Secretary: Martha Staff
Senate Secretary: Rosanne Harrigan
Sara Rutter volunteered to serve as webmaster, replacing Robert Valliant.
The committee discussed and made tentative committee assignments. These assignments will be finalized and posted on the web in the near future.
