1. The
year ahead
It is going to be a busy year. Lei
is going to recruit some additional members to the committee.
Some of the items that the committee will address are:

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) emphasis Student
Learning Outcomes by course.

BBA in Entrepreneurship establishment
-
BA or BFA from the Academy for Creative Media (ACM) establishment
-
Formation of an assessment office
-
Enrollment plan for Manoa with a two CAPP members serving on an advisory
panel.

Challenge of shared governance
Old Business
1. BA
or BFA from ACM
The proposal is better. Two areas of
concern are:

The faculty qualifications and degree to be awarded (BA) do not match.
Faculty appears more qualified for a BFA.
-
Student release of copyright appears onerous.
The committee will invite the Director, Thomas Brislin, and the VCAA to attend
the next meeting.
New Business
1.
Election of Chair
Susan Hippensteele was nominated.
She was elected by email ballot the evening of the meeting.
