The Faculty Senate’s input is valued by the administration.
#Response DateComments & suggestions for improvement:
1May 19, 2012 7:47 PMI have to admit that Faculty Senate input is not always well thought out. I also abhor the notion that we Senators should make policy without paying any attention to how policies are going to be implemented. That strikes me as naive, unprofessional, discourteous, and potentialyl time-wasting. Case in point: the grade substitution policy.
2May 14, 2012 1:20 PMI think so. I think they often responded at the 11th hour; they often play "chicken" with the Senate. Perhaps we have a reputation for backing down, and they test us on it.
3Apr 29, 2012 5:28 PMAdministration does consult but it seems more of a box to be checked.
4Apr 27, 2012 8:35 PMDepends on whether they agree.
