| Events at UH Campuses for the Week of August 13-19 |
Sunday, August 13, 9:00 a.m. UH Manoa Summer Commencement, Stan Sheriff Center. UH Manoa is the only one of the ten UH campuses that conducts summer commencement ceremonies. Approximately 800 students are candidates for degrees this year, and about half of them are expected to participate in the program. An advisory with more detail was issued August 9 and is available for refax on request.
During this week leading up to the beginning of the new academic year, orientation programs are underway on virtually all campuses. An advisory with information about UH Manoa orientation programs was distributed last week and is available for refax on request.

Tuesday, August 15, 3:00 p.m. UH Hilo Campus Center Dining Room. Fall Convocation 2000, during which Chancellor Rose Tseng will address faculty and staff, introduce newcomers, touch on highlights from the summer, and look ahead to the new academic year. Friday, August 18 Admission Day holiday offices and libraries closed. UH Manoa dorm residents will begin moving in at 1:00 p.m. (apartments in the residence hall area) and at the same time on Saturday, August 19 (dorms and remaining apartments).
