Ronald F. L. Mau will address ARCS luncheon Ronald F. L. Mau, professor of entomology at UH Manoa, will speak at the Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Kick-off Luncheon at Wai'alae Country Club, September 10. Mau received the ARCS Scientist of the Year award at a ceremony last May. The mission of ARCS is to help meet the nation's need for scientists and engineers by providing scholarships to academically outstanding college students. Since 1974, the Honolulu Chapter of ARCS has awarded over $1 million to nearly 500 students at the University of Hawai'i. For more information about ARCS, contact Lois Magnussen at 956-3794.
