Colleges of Arts & Sciences Alumni plan Manoa sock hop "Happy Days at Klum Gym" is the theme for the September 20th nostalgic sock hop planned by the Colleges of Arts & Sciences Alumni Association. The emphasis is on fun, says the Colleges' development specialist, Karin Mackenzie. Popular disc jockey Fabulous Woody will entertain the crowd of students, alumni and friends from throughout the community with his celebrated oldies show. Plenty of refreshment stands and door prizes are promised as well. Guests are asked to wear rubber-soled shoes or-what else?-socks with their casual clothes or '50s attire. The dance starts at 6:30 p.m. and rocks until 11:30 in Klum Gym on the UH Manoa campus.
