| Two Nursing School Faculty Honored |
Two faculty members from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene have been recognized by the Hawai`i Association of Diabetes Educators (Hawai`i ADE). The honors were accorded at the association's annual conference last week in Honolulu.
Dr. Chen-Yen Wang, Associate Professor, has been selected as Diabetes Educator of the Year for Hawai`i ADE. During the conference, the national president for the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) announced that Dr. Jane Kadohiro, Assistant Professor, has been elected First Vice President for the AADE for 2000-2001, President-Elect for 2001-2002, and National President for 2002-2003.
The AADE is a professional organization of diabetes educators whose mission is to advance the role of the diabetes educator in improving the quality of diabetes education and care. The Hawai`i ADE is the local chapter of the national organization.
